The breathtaking and anticipated follow-up to the sheer screen and musical enchantment of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is back with the next film in the series. The Sony Centre has announced that the Toronto Symphony Orchestra will perform Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets October 12-14, 2017 continuing the global Harry Potter Film Concert Series after the breakout success of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Conducted by Joshua Gersen, the continuation of this breathtaking, much-anticipated film concert will see the film screened in high definition and in full on a 40-foot screen, as John Williams' incredible score is played live on stage by a world-class orchestra and choir.

This performance will play at the iconic Sony Centre for the Performing Arts and will bring the beloved Grammy-nominated music front and center to create another unforgettable experience for Harry Potter fans. The Harry Potter Film Concert that kicked off in June 2016 is another magical experience from J.K. Rowling's Wizarding World.

Mark Hammond, Director of Programming and CEO at Sony Centre said, "Years in the making, this incredible film concert will continue to bring the world of Harry Potter to life like never before as the Toronto Symphony Orchestra performs John Williams' incredible score."

Continuing J.K. Rowling's delightful bestselling and unforgettable Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, cars fly, trees fight back and a mysterious house-elf comes to warn Harry Potter at the start of the second year of his amazing journey into the world of wizardry. This year at Hogwarts, spiders talk, letters scold and Harry's own unsettling ability to speak to snakes turns his friends against him. From dueling clubs to rogue Bludgers, it's a year of adventure and danger when bloody writing on a wall announces: The Chamber of Secrets has been opened. To save Hogwarts will require all of Harry, Ron and Hermione's magical abilities and courage in this spellbinding adaptation of J.K. Rowling's second book. Get ready to be amused and petrified as Harry Potter shows he's more than a wizard, he's a hero!

Earning a Grammy nomination for the score, the bewitching and incredible music composed by John Williams became an instant classic, conjuring swelling and soaring motifs continuing the adventures of Harry Potter on his magical journey through Hogwarts and 4 Privet Drive.

This film concert series has been created by CineConcerts, in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, its creator and Producer/Conductor, Justin Freer explains, "The Harry Potter film series is one of those once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomena that continues to delight millions of fans around the world.
