Breaking News: Danielle Wade Will Make Panto Debut in Ross Petty's 'CINDERELLA - THE GAGS TO RICHES'
BroadwayWorld has just confirmed that Toronto's favorite Dorothy will be trading in her ruby slippers for a pair made of glass instead! Danielle Wade will make her panto debut in CINDERELLA - THE GAGS TO RICHES at the Elgin Theatre (part of the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatres, the last active double decker performance venue in the world) from November 21 2014 to January 4, 2015.
Patty Sullivan, host of Kids' CBC-TV for almost 20 years, returns to Cinderella as one of the Evil Step Sisters after having played the Fairy Godmother in an earlier version of the show.
Plumbum, in the buxom guise of Dan Chameroy (most recently of Theatre20's COMPANY fame), is back for his/her 5th show....this time morphing from an Evil Step Sister in that same earlier production, to the most whacked out Fairy Godmother anyone could ever wish for. Ross Petty will also perform in a gown for this production, as well.
Ginger-haired favorite Eddie Glen joins us for his 10th show to delight you with his infectious brand of humor and song and dance talents.
Tracey Flye is set to direct and Reid Janisse will write the book of the show, and are the same creative team that brought last year's hilarious production of The Little Mermaid.
