Arthur Miller's classic family drama, The Price, hits the stage at the Tom Hendry Theatre at the MTC Warehouse from January 22 to February 7 as part of the 9th annual Master Playwright Festival, MillerFest.

As the wise and wily appraiser Solomon says, "With used furniture you cannot be emotional." But everything is emotional when two estranged brothers meet to sell off an attic full of furniture, their last link to a family and a world that no longer exists. Nostalgia and recrimination erupt as the brothers painfully examine the choices they've made in their lives and the price each has had to pay as a result.

The Price stars John Bourgeois as Walter Franz, Terri Cherniack as Esther Franz, Richard Clarkin as Victor Franz and Nicholas Rice as Gregory Solomon.

Led by Director Marcia Kash, the artistic team features Set and Costume Designer Patrick Clark, Lighting Designer Lesley Wilkinson, Stage Manager Margaret Brook and Apprentice Stage Manager Shani Hamilton Greenlaw.

Ticket prices for The Price range from $12.00 to $38.00. Students with valid high school ID receive 50% off single ticket adult prices for all performances. Pay What You Can performances are sponsored by Sun Life Financial. For showtimes and ticket info, call the MTC Box Office at 942-6537, toll free at 1-877-446-4500 or visit www.mtc.mb.ca.
