Boston Ballet Principal Dancer Misa Kuranaga has been nominated for the prestigious Benois de la Danse award for her portrayal of Tatiana in John Cranko's Onegin and Medora in Ivan Liška's Le Corsaire.

Boston Ballet's 2016–2017 season concludes with Robbins/The Concert, a mixed-repertory program featuring works by George Balanchine, Jorma Elo, and Jerome Robbins set to music by several composers: Igor Stravinsky, Frédéric Chopin, Ludwig van Beethoven, J.S. Bach, and Robert Schumann.

The Washington Ballet (TWB) presents a program that combines three works by masters of dance from the 20th century to the present: George Balanchine's Allegro Brillante, Alexei Ratmansky's Seven Sonatas and Twyla Tharp's Nine Sinatra Songs.

Colorado Ballet just finished the most successful performance season in the 56-year history of the organization by breaking both attendance and revenue records.  Colorado Ballet's 2016/2017 productions of Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Ballet MasterWorks and The Little Mermaid all exceeded budgeted revenue goals.  Colorado Ballet's ticketing budget goal for 2016/2017 was $3.66 million and the company just ended the season with $4.24 million, which is 116.0 percent of goal.

Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney announced today the top awards for the Kansas City Ballet School at the recent Youth America Grand Prix Regional Semi-finals held in Indianapolis, Indiana. Top honors include eight pieces selected to advance to the national finals in New York City April 7–14 as well as the award for Outstanding School and Ryan Jolicoeur-Nye as Outstanding Choreographer. 

Houston Ballet announces a tour to Ludwigshafen and Bonn, Germany. From April 3-13, 2017, Houston Ballet will perform three works by Artistic Director Stanton Welch AM: Maninyas (1996), Velocity (2003), and Tapestry (2012). Audiences will have the opportunity to see three works by Mr. Welch that have cemented him as one of the most innovative and in-demand choreographers in the world.

In 2015, the Eglevsky Ballet engaged Maurice B. Curry as its new Executive Artistic Director. In two years, the Eglevsky Ballet has doubled the enrollment in its dance academy and now boasts ten educators and a resident artist. A full slate of year-round ballet classes and workshops are offered for students ranging from three years of age to 20 years old.
