Petrella And Mixed Influence Come To Santa Paula Theater Center The Santa Paula Theater Center will present COUNTRY SOUL TRAIN FEATURING PETRELLA AND MIXED INFLUENCE on Saturday, August 11th at 7:30 pm. Doors open at 7:00 pm. You may purchase tickets online at www.santapaulatheatercenter.org or by calling the box office at (805) 525-4645. Walkups are welcomed for unreserved seats. All tickets are $20.

Born in Hot Springs, AR, Petrella began her career as a singer/songwriter 29 years ago by creating a fusion of rhythm & blues and country music called Country-Soul. Imagine Tina Turner singing Country Music. Now, imagine a voice that goes beyond this by blending, soul, blues, country and R&B into a fresh, intuitive and well-written style of music...that is Petrella. This inventive new sound landed Petrella on the Cover of Cash Box magazine and produced 5 singles that made it to the top 100 on the Country Music Charts with her latest single from the 100 Proof Woman CD going to Number 14 on the Billboard Hot Country single sales chart. Petrella has opened for Gladys Knight and has appeared on the Ernest Tubbs midnight jamboree radio show, performing "Blues Stay Away from Me" and performed at the first ever Country Music Festival in Pomona, CA She has released 2 videos, "Blues Stay Away >From Me" which was played from California to South Carolina. Her current video "Working in the USA", a tribute to the working class people in the USA is on video channel VeVo. She has 7 nationally distributed CDs and has won the Airplay International Golden Microphone Award and the Producer's Choice Award. Her first album was nominated for Album of the Year by the Nashville Tracker magazine and her single "Blues Stay Away from Me" went to number 50 on the charts and was the #1 ranked independent single by Cashbox Magazine.

Petrella and her band "Mixed Influence" are currently touring the Southern and Central Coast of California and have opened for the Delfonics at the Black History Month Parade in Pasadena, A.J. Croce at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills (where Petrella's performance was called "Amazing" by the Club agent), Billy Vera and The Beater's at the Canyon club, and the Spinners at the Rose Entertainment Venue in Pasadena. She has also performed at the Levitt Pavilion, Memorial Park, and at Malarkey's Grill in Long Beach & Maui Sugar Mill Saloon in Tarzana (Where she opened for Cadillac Zack's Blues night).

Petrella, the First Lady of Country Soul and her band "Mixed Influence" promises an evening of incredible entertainment. While the music will be hot, you won't be, thanks to SPTC's brand new air conditioning!
