Lit Live revives its hit production, "Dark Heart of Poe," for special Halloween weekend performances October 26 to 28 at Playhouse 101 in Agoura Hills.

Written by A.D. Hasselbring, from the works of Edgar Allan Poe, the play explores the two sides of the great American writer-the tortured artist and his macabre muse. This revival will be newly directed by Morgan Keough and will bring new twists, turns, and vision to the award-winning work.

Austin Robert Miller and Travis Winterstein return in their acclaimed dual portrayal of Poe, which earned the Ventura County Reporter's Best Theatre Production Award in 2015. Miller received a Vee Cee Award from VC On Stage and a Broadway World Award nomination for his performance. Kristine Mikita is executive producer of this new production.

Performances are Thursday, October 26 at 8 pm, Friday, October 27 at midnight, and Saturday, October 28 at 2 pm and 8 pm. The Friday midnight gala includes appetizers and drinks, as well as an Art Fest, beginning at 10:30 pm, featuring gothic paintings, drawing, music and poetry by local artists.

Tickets for Thursday and Saturday are $20 general admission, and $17 for students, teachers, seniors, and military. All tickets for the Friday gala are $25. Advance tickets are available at darkheart.brownpapertickets.com or call 805.208.8686. Playhouse 101 is located at 28720 Canwood Street, Agoura Hills, CA 91301.
