Every ethnicity, nationality and religion prizes its heritage, but Jews put a special value on honoring a direct bond with their forebears stretching across 6,000 years. That cornerstone of Passover also underlies James Sherman's 1985 comic drama The God of Isaac, enjoying an enthusiastic and effective revival at Broward Stage Door. RESPECT: A Musical Journey of Women, which has evolved from a one-woman dissertation to an international hit musical revue since its debut, is an entertaining, exuberant, and exhilarating look at the lives of women as reflected in the popular music of the times. RESPECT: A Musical Journey of Women will run from December 5th through January 5th at the Mizner Park Cultural Arts Center's Studio Theatre in Boca Raton.

RESPECT, which has been continuously evolving since its debut as a one-woman show in 1999, is an entertaining, exuberant and exhilarating look at the lives of women as reflected in the popular music of the 20th Century. The show ran for over a year at the Cuillo Centre for the Arts in West Palm Beach and for six months at the Stage Door 26th Street Theatre in Fort Lauderdale, before ‘going on the road' and playing in multiple cities across the United States - including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Detroit, Green Bay and Minneapolis. RESPECT has also ‘gone international' - playing to enthusiastic houses in Melbourne and Brisbane Australia. The Life opened at the Ethel Barrymore Theater in the spring of 1997 under the direction of Michael Blakemore. It ran for 450 performances and won several awards for 'Best Musical' of 1997, including the Drama Desk Award, the Outer Critics Award, and the Drama League.
