Fresh from multiple sold-out performances at the Sydney Opera House in February, The Metropolitan Orchestra’s 18th Met concert season ignites with a blaze of energy and colour in this March 7 performance at the Verbrugghen Hall with a world premiere work by Australian composer Chris Moran titled Equilibrium. This striking new work explores contrast and balance: groove and grandeur setting the environment for this brilliant first concert of 2026. Hungarian folk rhythms will burst to life in Kodály’s Dances of Galánta before Beethoven’s radiant Symphony No. 4 crowns the evening with classical brilliance and joyful drive. Led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, this is an ideal opportunity to see the full complement of TMO led by their dynamic Chief Conductor before appearing in May with Hollywood superstar Jeff Goldblum. Tickets on sale now.
