Performance ensemble Frumpus return to Illawarra Performing Arts Centre 2 - 4 November with their new work, LANDED. Formed in the 1990s, Frumpus includes Lenny Ann Low, Cheryle Moore and Stephanie Hart. Using physical comedy and found footage and audio, LANDED is a pastiche of clowning and satire. Three shifty women, wordless but with plenty to say, take an unnerving and rib-tickling excursion into absurdity. Exploring ideas embedded in pop culture surrounding beauty and the grotesque, their frumpy red tracksuits and audacious silliness became a trademark for pushing boundaries, celebrating the underdog and puncturing ideals of female perfection.
