Subiaco Arts Centre Presents UNPACK THIS! 9/10-9/15

By:

Geoff Paine is a nice guy, who played nice guy Clive Gibbons in the early years of Neighbours. Then he moved next door to real life neighbours-from-hell, and life wasn?t like the TV show. One fateful night he finally snapped, head-butting his neighbor and breaking his nose, while an onlooker sang the Neighbours theme song. Arrested and ordered to attend an Anger Management Course, Geoff discovered that the most surreal part of this tale was still to come...

Showing at Chapel off Chapel as part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in April, Unpack This! is a comedy exploring the funnier side of anger management. From the jargon riddled politically correct language, to the antics of a social worker who can?t control his temper, Unpack This! takes a look at what happens when two social workers try to show six men how to manage their anger, with varying degrees of success.

Geoff Paine and Ross Daniels play three characters each, recreating the workshop participants including suburban bogan Nicholas, whose bluntness shocks the counsellors, and bitter senior citizen Reginald. Syd Brisbane and Michelle Nussey play the counsellors whose own issues threaten to derail the proceedings.

Unpack This! is show for anyone who has ever lost their cool, blown a fuse, flown off the handle, gone through the roof, chucked a wobbly or just been plain angry. There?s almost always a funny side.

Geoff Paine has since moved house.
