PACT Centre for Emerging Artists and Cope Street Collective to present Performance Showcase PACT Centre for Emerging Artists and Cope Street Collective will present an exciting showcase of performance, theatre and art in PACT Salon: Bad on Saturday 2nd December.

PACT Salon: Bad is Cope Street Collective's response to stereotypes towards Indigenous children and racial propaganda. It celebrates the trouble-makers, the misunderstood and the ones they thought would not survive.

PACT Centre for Emerging Artists will be transformed into a fun island for the forgotten, fringe-dwellers and outcasts. The island will include live performances, music and dance showcasing human desire, struggles and survival.

Cope Street is an arts collective named after the Redfern home of the indigenous-run performance space, Black Theatre. As a 'response and acknowledgement' of this, co-founder Bjorn Stewart and the other artists make theatre, film and multi-media work based around the notions of Australian identity.

PACT Salons showcase eclectic new works by some of Sydney's most compelling emerging performance, visual and media artists. Salons are where performance, party and critical dialogue collide to form a unique interactive experience.

Curator: Bjorn Stewart
Performers: Katie Beckett, Colin Kinchela and Genny Stewart (and artist); DJ Emily Nicol; Artist Emily Johnson

PACT Salon: Bad is the third and final PACT Salon for 2017, proudly supported by the City of Sydney and Arts NSW.
