About the program

This is Theatre UAB: - Fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre - Winner of university theatre’s highest honors, including regional and national recognition by the Kennedy Center / American College Theatre Festival - $50,000 budgeted annually for 5 fully-mounted productions - Over 500 opportunities each year for student writers, actors, technicians, running-crew members, stage managers, dramaturgs, or directors - More than 100 opportunities each year for students to design scenery, costumes, lighting, or sound - 4 touring companies performing in venues all over the state - 14 full-time faculty to mentor your development as an artist, technologist, or manager - 4 full-time professional production specialists that will help you realize your vision - 2 state-of-the-art performance facilities - 3 state-of-the-art production facilities - 12-station computer lab with cutting-edge industry software and hardware - 2 Pre-Professional Tracks in Performance and Design /Technology - 54 courses in theatre and related topics - Annual participation in the Kennedy Center / American College Theatre Festival
