Fox Concerts presents the Valentine's Superstar Spectacular starring Patti LaBelle and The O'Jays at the Fabulous Fox Theatre Friday, February 12 at 8 p.m.

As time continues to evolve, the soulful songbird's name has become synonymous with grace, style, elegance and class. Belting outclassic rhythm and blues renditions, pop standards and spiritual sonnets have created the unique platform of versatility that Ms. Patti is known and revered for.

It's a small wonder that Patti has time for anything else in between recording, touring and taping her TV One show, Living It Up With Patti LaBelle, but, she makes time and the world is oh so happy that she does! In addition to her amazing entertainment career, Ms. LaBelle's work as a humanitarian is just as legendary. She remains an advocate for adoption, foster care, Big Sisters and the United Negro College Fund.

In 1994, LaBelle was diagnosed with diabetes and shortly thereafter became a spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association. The same motivation that had Patricia Louise Holte blossom from a choir member to lead vocalist for Patti LaBelle & The Bluebelles and later Labelle, to a solo artist is the same energy that keeps her fire burning at six-three years young."Each year I grow, and that's a blessing from God. I do what I can do. I do what I feel God has given methe energy to do, so I just go out there and I do it...It's not about making money because I don't need money, but I need to sing. With a voice or without, I've got to get on that stage." And the world is thankful that Ms. Patti's voice sounds so good to our ears.

The O'Jays are living legends...American treasures. Today they are trio consisting of founders Eddie Levert, Sr. and Walter Williams, Sr. joined by the newest member Eric Noland Grant who joined the group in 1995. The stage, whether in America or on international soil, is where the O'Jays let it all out, they blow away the competition with their soulful singing and bring in "standing room" only audiences.

On the road several months during a year, The O'Jays still enjoy the accolades and rave reviews of fans and media. All generations love the O'Jays, which is why their "For The Love" album, (released in 2001), was a chart-topper, and in 2002, that album was nominated for a Grammy Award. In addition to their many nominations each year for the past 43 years, The O'Jays continue to receive many awards from various shows and organizations, while still making guest appearances. After many years of continued success, The O'Jays , in addition to their music endeavors, have embarked on acting careers and will begin writing a book sometime in the near future.

In September 2003, they appeared in their debut film "The Fighting Temptations" starring Cuba Gooding, Jr., and Beyonce Knowles and other artists that includeAngie Stone, Reverend Shirley Caesar, Zane, Melba Moore, and Montell Jordan. In 2004 they recorded their latestalbum "Imagination" under the Music World Music label. In 2005, the O'Jays were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland Ohio and the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in Sharon, Pa.. In 2009, The O'Jays were awarded BET's ‘Lifetime Achievement Award'.

In 2009, The O'JAYS are still going strong, currently performing at concerts around the world. Throughout their career the O'Jays have contributed 10 Gold Albums with 9 goingPlatinum and 10 #1 hits.
