The Sheldon presents The Sheldon Chorale, "Beloved Sacred Choruses," Monday, February 22 at 8 p.m. in the perfect acoustics of the Sheldon Concert Hall. The Sheldon Chorale presents a concert of beloved sacred choruses well suited for the Lenten season. With acappella motets from the Renaissance, to musical expressions of faith and hope by Bach and Mozart, and a beautiful arrangement of Panis Angelicus with solo soprano, Alice Montgomery, accompanied by strings, harp and organ, the chorale along with members of the St. Louis Symphony will round out this glorious evening of spiritual music with the lovely Requiem by the French master, Gabriel Fauré. You won't want to miss this musical meditation, performed beautifully by the 30 voices of The Sheldon Chorale under the baton of Allen Carl Larson, Musical Director/Founder.
