20th Annual NATIONAL DANCE WEEK To Take Place At Grand Center
The 20th annual National Dance Week (NDW) St. Louis is set to kick off on Saturday, April 22nd, at Grand Center, the Heart of the Arts and Entertainment District, located at Washington and Grand. The FREE outdoor event will begin at noon and will feature the 2017 NDW Honorary Dance Company, MADCO Modern American Dance Company.
Over 50 other troupes and hundreds of dancers including The Big Muddy Dance Company, MADCO, WU Dance Collective, Webster University Dance Ensemble and Ashleyliane Dance Company.
NDW features a variety of dance including ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, modern disciplines, as well as Chinese, African, Middle Eastern, and Irish.
Master of ceremonies Keith Tyronne Williams, an arts educator, Keith serves as Chair of Theatre at Grand Center Arts Academy in St. Louis, MO.
In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Third Baptist Church at the corner of Washington and Grand using the Washington Street entrance.
