Auditions for The Best Christmas Pageant Ever will be held Oct. 11-12 at 7 p.m. in Electric City Playhouse lobby. All ages are welcome, and the ability to memorize short monologues is a plus.
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever tells the story of six delinquent children surnamed Herdman. They go to church for the first time after being told that the church offers snacks. Despite protests from other church members, the Herdmans are given roles in the Sunday school's Christmas play, in which they tell the Christmas story in their own special way.
Rehearsals start Oct. 19, and the play will run Dec. 17-19 with five performances. Rehearsal spaces will change and schedules will go out weekly or bi-weekly. There are four male and six female leads, with as many as eight male and nine female smaller roles along with several roles for adults as well.
