Auditions Held Tonight For The Last Night of Ballyhoo Tonight At Centre Stage

Auditions for Alfred Uhry's "The Last Night of Ballyhoo" will be held tonight (Monday, Sept. 13) at Centre Stage beginning at 7:00 p.m. Actors already rehearsing in another production can audition one hour earlier beginning at 6:00 p.m. If you are unable to attend tonight but would still like to audition, please contact Glenda ManWaring at 233-6733 extension 14, to schedule an appointment.
Directed by Chip Egan, roles are available for three men (age range: 20's to late 40's) and four women (age range: 20's to early 50's). Those auditioning will be asked to read some from the script."The Last Night of Ballyhoo" takes place in Atlanta, Georgia, in December of 1939. Gone with the Wind is having its world premiere, and Hitler is invading Poland, but Atlanta's elitist German Jews are much more concerned with who is going to Ballyhoo, the social event of the season.
