Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival presents SHAKESPEARE AFTER HOURS and SHAKESCENES

By: Jun. 29, 2017

The 2017 Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival opens in mid-July to kick off another fantastic summer with two free performances. ShakeScenes returns to Washington Hall on the University campus at 2pm, Saturday, July 15th. Promising an array of "scenes with their own Shakespeare flavor," audience members will be treated to versions of Shakespeare with a dash of Harry Potter, SNL's Californians, and several other variations illuminated by groups from throughout the Michiana theatre community.

On Friday, July 14th, the NDSF presents its first Shakespeare After Hours event. Coordinating Director Christy Burgess, shares, "As our audiences have grown and developed, we have done the same, and are thrilled to introduce Shakespeare After Hours. Aimed for our mature (or immature at heart) audiences, Shakespeare After Hours will celebrate Shakespeare's more bloody, boozy, and bawdy themes." Contrasting with the family-friendly ShakeScenes, between these two free events, there should be something for everyone.

TICKET INFORMATION: Shakespeare After Hours is a free event but it requires a ticket. **Please note that Shakespeare After Hours does not take place on the University campus, so the DeBartolo PAC Box Office is not coordinating the tickets. Call (574) 631-3777 for more information, or visit our website anytime to make your reservation. Search for "Community Company" to reserve your tickets for both events!
