INTO THE WOODS Comes To The University Of South Dakota Next Week
By: Alan Henry
University of South Dakota's theatre department presents INTO THE WOODS, running from Nov. 16 to Dec. 2.
Take a trip to Once Upon a Time-when Cinderella, Little Red Ridinghood, Rapunzel and Jack and his beanstalk all lived in the same village. Inspired by Grimm's Fairy Tales, this musical mashup takes us on the hilarious, heartfelt and occasionally gruesome journeys these folk characters make; then it explores what happens when they get what they think they wanted.
By Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine. Performed on the Wayne S. Knutson Main Stage.
