From the ranks of today’s foremost operatic stars, three of China’s top young singers come together to showcase their vocal prowess as they take on a programme of Western operatic favourites and Chinese art songs.
Soprano Yu Guanqun was the First Prize winner at the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition and Second Prize winner at Plácido Domingo’s Operalia, The World Opera Competition; mezzo-soprano Zhu Huiling was awarded the First Prize at the Elise Meyer Foundation Competition; while bass-baritone Shenyang was the youngest ever winner at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition.
