The magical sounds of the Indian tabla are rich and vast like its country of origin, India. With these two drums, a tabla maestro can produce an impressive range of sounds that few percussive instruments can. It is no wonder that the tabla is one of the most popular percussions used in Indian dance.

Join Nawaz Mirajkar as he takes you through a rhythmic journey across continents, and shares more about the colourful history of the tabla, its sounds, techniques and other interesting anecdotes. There will also be “live” demonstrations and an opportunity for participants to try their hand at playing the instrument.
