Children’s Theatre Company has released sneak peek photos inside rehearsals for its upcoming production of A Year With Frog and Toad.

5-STAR THEATRICALS (formerly Cabrillo Music Theatre) opens its 2017-2018 season with Patrick Cassidy starring as the Pharaoh in a fresh new look at an all-time family favorite, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, lyrics by Tim Rice, musical direction by Dr. Cassie Nickols, choreography by So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Dave Scott and directed by 5-Star Theatricals Managing Director Will North.

Award-winning artists' collective Rogue Artists Ensemblepresents its most ambitious project to date in association with Bootleg Theater: a modern, mature and delightfully macabre adaptation of Carlo Collodi's 'The Adventures of Pinocchio.' Theworld premiere of Wood Boy Dog Fish opens at the Bootleg on November 13, with performances continuing through December 12. Low-priced previews begin November 6. Beck Center for the Arts presents The Underpants, Steve Martin's contemporary adaptation of a turn-of-the-century satire by German Expressionist Carl Sternheim, on the Mackey Main Stage, April 1 through 23, 2011. Show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. Sundays. The performance on Saturday, April 9 is sold out for a private event.

Striding Lion InterArts Workshop presents their eighth full-length production, the world premiere of 'Birdsongs,' a down-the-rabbit-hole look at one man's search for a particularly fascinating girl in a digital world. Based on and featuring the music of Striding Lion's original concept album of the same name, 'Birdsongs' tells the story of the Birdwatcher, who finds himself enraptured with a girl he discovers online, who leads him on a journey through the nooks and crannies of an internet-based world. This absurdist rock comedy explores a world of narcissism and voyeurism, of self-branding and self-marketing, where people come and go quickly, and are not always who they seem to be. The piece runs about 80 minutes without intermission.

In a musical that's Democracy in America meets Alice in Wonderland meets Cabaret, Robert Honeywell brings back many of his actor/collaborators from Every Play Ever Written ('Gleefully funny … a must-see for anyone who has been onstage' - New York Times) and Greed: A Musical Love Story ('One of the best new musicals in town' - nytheatre.com) in this bouffon-inspired, satire-laced political fantasia. Developed with acclaimed clown teacher Sue Morrison. Orchestrations and additional music by Matt Van Brink played live by an onstage band.
