Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will premiere Power of Love, a newly commissioned ballet choreographed by Jamar Roberts, celebrating Luther Vandross with arrangements by Marcus Miller and Ron Gillyard.
Tony Award-winning producer Kenneth Willman and ATA Executive Director Jessica Jennings will lead an insider panel at The Penn Club of New York, examining Broadway capitalization, investment, and the anatomy of a Tony campaign.
Along with the wonderful Broadway Under the Stars concerts that we have at TTC, we also had a tremendous week of other special events including our third Guest Artist concert, Inspiration Initiative Day and our final Skits Under the Stars night. All of these events happened on our days off from the Music of the Night concerts and I feel tremendously inspired by it all. Looking at my calendar this past week made me slightly nervous that I wouldn't have enough time to fit everything in but actually it was all accomplished and enjoyed at the same time. For me, this was an excellent reminder that we are all capable of taking on SO much more than our minds might normally think. There is not a single second to waste with all of life's beauty at our fingertips. That's truly how every delicious day is at TTC. Satisfyingly full.

New York City Center celebrated the 20th Anniversary of its Tony Award-winning Encores! series on November 12 with a Gala Benefit starring Raul Esparza and Kelli O'Hara, and featuring performers who have starred in Encores!productions over the past two decades. Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) presents a revival of Neil Simon's 1965 comedy classic THE ODD COUPLE starring Wheel of Fortune's Pat Sajak and veteran TV news anchorman Joe Moore -- real life friends since their tour of duty in Vietnam. Performances began June 21 at The Harriet S. Jorgensen Theatre at Connecticut Repertory Theatre, directed by Vincent J. Cardinal.
