The Fred Ebb Foundation (Mitchell S. Bernard, Trustee) in association with the Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presented the fifteenth annual Fred Ebb Award for aspiring musical theatre songwriters to Angela Sclafani & Benjamin Velez. The award, named in honor of the late award-winning lyricist Fred Ebb, was presented by Kate Baldwin on Monday, December 2nd from 6-8pm at a by-invitation-only ceremony in the Penthouse Lounge of The American Airlines Theater.
Ghost The Musical opened to a full house on Sunday, September 16 for its Opening Night performance. Linda Fortunato directed and choreographed the production which stars Garrett Lutz in the role of ghostly hero Sam, Donica Lynn as psychic Oda Mae and Courtney Mack in the role of Molly Jensen. This is Chicagoland's first regional production of the newly imagined Ghost The Musical. Performances continue through October 14.

Nine individuals who have taken leading roles in making live theater in Tennessee better and more magical have been named as members of the Class of 2015 Honorees for The First Night Honors, the annual celebration of all things theatrical held in Nashville every September.
Making their Chichester debuts as George and Maud are Richard Fleeshman (UrineTown, Ghost: The Musical, Legally Blonde) and the Olivier Award nominated Summer Strallen (Top Hat, Love Never Dies, The Sound of Music). The stellar cast also includes Desmond Barrit (The History Boys, Wicked and numerous RSC productions), Isla Blair (Made in Dagenham, The Lyons, Festival 2009'sCollaboration), Richard Dempsey (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Michael Grandage's A Midsummer Night's Dream), Nicholas Farrell (Festival 2011's South Downs / The Browning Version, 37 Days and Chariots of Fire) and Sally Ann Triplett (Follies!, Anything Goes, Guys and Dolls).
Mark Evans and Christopher John O'Neill just joined the cast of the national tour of The Book of Mormon as Elder Price and Elder Cunningham respectively. In advance of the Broadway transfer of Ghost The Musical, this morning Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy handed over the leading roles of Sam Wheat and Molly Jensen as they are headed for Broadway. Mark Evans (Welsh TV star and last on stage in the West End as Fiyero in Wicked) and Siobhan Dillon (finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber's first reality TV show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria? and most recently on stage in the West End in Legally Blonde The Musical) will take on the West End roles on Friday January 13th. They were joined at London's Picadilly Theatre today by Sharon D. Clarke and Andrew Langtree (West End) and Da'Vine Joy Randolph and Bryce Pinkham (Broadway) who play Oda Mae Brown and Carl Bruner.
