Speed-the-Plow on Stage Videos - Broadway

The Heidi Chronicles will begin performances on Monday, February 23, 2015, with an official opening on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). Tony Award-winnerPam MacKinnon (Edward Albee's A Delicate Balance, Edward Albee'sWho's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, Clybourne Park) will direct. The production will star Golden Globe-winner and six-time Emmy Award-nominee Elisabeth Moss ('Mad Men,' 'Top of the Lake,' Speed-the-Plow), Emmy Award-nomineeJason Biggs ('Orange Is The New Black,' American Pie), Tony Award-nominee Bryce Pinkham (A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson), and Tracee Chimo (Lips Together, Teeth Apart, 'Orange Is The New Black,' Bad Jews), with Ali Ahn, Leighton Bryan, Elise Kibler, and Andy Truschinski. For over twenty-five years, the late Bradshaw Smith (Founder & Executive Producer of "Broadway Beat" and Applause Video) was the theater world's preeminent videographer, capturing over 1,000 performances on Broadway, off-Broadway, in cabaret halls and beyond that now, because of him, live on today. Bradshaw Smith died on January 16, 2012, at age 57, following a sudden and severe stroke. To conclude the intimate memorial, Bradshaw's longtime friend and editor, Jonathan Frank, compiled the best of Bradshaw's work as a video artist. Tony Award-winning playwright David Mamet lent his voice to THE SIMPSONS for an episode, on Sunday, January 23, 2011 in which he (briefly) played an animated version of himself. In the episode, Mamet is 'a writer on Thicker Than Waters, a hokey '80s family sitcom that Homer becomes obsessed with.'

BROADWAY BACKWARDS 5, an annual benefit concert presented by Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS (BC/EFA) and The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center, is a starry one night only event that will hit the stage at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on Monday, February 22nd at 8pm.
