Acclaimed actor, rapper and writer Lin-Manuel Miranda stopped by today's GMA to dish on his latest projects, including Disney's MOANA, the new PBS doc HAMILTON'S AMERICA and MARY POPPINS RETURNS.

Ellis Island got a little more Broadway last night, as Ragtime was presented in an  invitation-only, one-night-only event, narrated by two-time Tony Award winner and original Ragtime Broadway cast member Brian Stokes Mitchell. The concert starred  two-time Tony Award nominee Brandon Victor Dixon (Shuffle Along, Motown) as Coalhouse Walker Jr., Olivier Award winner Laura Michelle Kelly (Finding Neverland, Mary Poppins) as Mother, Emmy Award winner Michael Park(Dear Evan Hansen, Tuck Everlasting) as Father, acclaimed stage and television star Andy Mientus (Spring Awakening, Les Miserables) as Younger Brother, Shaina Taub (Hadestown, Old Hats) as Emma Goldman, Aisha Jackson (Waitress, Beautiful) as Sarah, and Robert Petkoff (All The Way,Ragtime) reprising his 2009 Broadway revival role of Tateh.

Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new production of Boublil & Schonberg's Les Miserables just welcomed several new cast members for its second year on Broadway last night, March 3 at The Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Joining the cast are Tony and Oliver Award nominee Gavin Lee (Mary Poppins) as Thenardier, Erika Henningsen as Fantine, Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier,Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Chris McCarrell as Marius and Wallace Smith as Enjolras. Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo will perform as Jean Valjean through the end of the summer; Will Swenson, as Javert, and Samantha Hill, as Cosette, will continue in their roles as well. Hailing from across the pond, stage-and-screen star Julie Andrews has made appearances in what are now considered to be classic theater and film pieces. Though she is well-known for her work on movie-musicals (MARY POPPINS, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, THROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE) she also starred in numerous hits on Broadway, including MY FAIR LADY and CAMELOT. Today, the cast of the beloved Broadway musical MARY POPPINS visited the San Diego Zoo. The visit was highlighted by animal and actor encounters as the cast interacted with some of the more vocal members of the Zoo's animal population.

The Sacramento premiere of MARY POPPINS opens Friday, June 3 at 8:00 p.m. at the Community Center Theater for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, June 19, 2011. MARY POPPINS plays Tuesday through Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and Thursday, Saturday and Sunday matinees at 2:00 p.m., with an additional performance on Sunday, June 5 at 7:30 p.m. 'Thus far sales have exceeded our expectations, but there are still great seats available' said Richard Lewis, executive producer of California Musical Theatre.

Dancing With The Stars celebrated their 200th Episode with a special performance by the cast of Mary Poppins.

Dick Van Dyke delighted theatergoers when he made a surprise cameo in the LA engagement of the MARY POPPINS NORTH AMERICAN TOUR on January 22. Van Dyke, 84, reprised his smaller film role, that of the crotchety bank president Mr. Dawes, in front of an ecstatic, sold out house at the Ahmanson Theater as part of a charity fundraiser.

Directed and choreographed by Connor Gallagher (Fat Camp), 'The Battery's Down' stars Jake Wilson as a young performer who, along with his friends, navigates the world of showbiz in New York City and Los Angeles. Series regulars include Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Mary Poppins, Spelling Bee), Dani Spieler (Legally Blonde), Nina Sturtz (Vote! The Musical) and Cortney Wolfson (Legally Blonde, Les Miserables).
