We continue our interview series with the leaders of the entertainment industry in the Garden State to find out how they are coping with the Covid-19 outbreak. We had the pleasure of interviewing Anthony Wilkinson, the Executive and Artistic Director of Avenel Performing Arts Center.

In 2019, the Gracie Theatre presented 'Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3. Based on the enthusiastic audience response to this production, the Gracie Theatre decided to bring the first play in the series to Bangor on Saturday, February 29, 2020 with two performances at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The show features all new lessons by Sister Mary Christina for her 'adult catechism class' that will resonate with Catholics and non-Catholics alike.

It has been presented in over 400 cities around the world, has played 6 countries with over 3.5 million people in attendance. The show has raised over $4 million for retired Sisters and Catholic Organizations. Late Night Catechism returns to the State Theatre for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Friday, May 4.

Worcester will learn a thing or two when Sister returns to teach her Late Nite Catechism at The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts on Thursday, June 14 at 8 p.m. Tickets are now on sale to theatre members and go on sale to the general public Tuesday, March 6 at 10 a.m.

Late Nite Catechism is an uproarious piece of theater that takes audience members back sometimes nostalgically, sometimes fearfully to the children they once were. The irrepressible Sister teaches an adult catechism class to a roomful of students (the audience). Over the course of the play, Sister goes from benevolent instructor, rewarding the students for correct answers with glow-in-the-dark rosaries and laminated saint cards, to authoritative drill sergeant. These abrupt mood swings are bound to strike a resonant chord with everyone who survived the ups and downs of going to a school with an omniscient authoritarian at the helm.

The Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival 2015 season will feature a slate of top-notch directors, choreographers, musical directors and designers. And for the fourth consecutive year, the new-works series, The PiTCH, returns with new writing teams from all over the country presenting their new musicals in development. The PiTCH will run from June 11 - August 1.
