Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for The Sound of Music, directed by Mark S. Hoebee. The production will feature Ashley Blanchet (Paper Mill’s Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Broadway’s Waitress) as Maria Rainer, and Graham Rowat (Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen, Sunset Boulevard) as Captain Georg von Trapp.

Pasadena Playhouse Producing Artistic Director Danny Feldman has announced the on -sale of tickets for the Los Angeles premiere of Ann - written by and starring Holland Taylor and directed by Benjamin Endsley Klein from May 27 to June 28, 2020, and a new production of Irving Berlin's Annie Get Your Gun with book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields, directed by Sarna Lapine, from July 28-August 23, 2020.

Bay Street Theater is pleased to announce the first show of the 2019 Mainstage Season will be the World Premiere of THE PROMPTER (May 28- June 16) a new comedy by Wade Dooley; directed by Scott Schwartz, Bay Street Theater's Artistic Director. The other two previously announced shows will be the World Premiere of SAFE SPACE, which will now run from June 25 - July 21. The third show will be a bold new re-envisioning of Irving Berlin's classic musical ANNIE GET YOUR GUN, (July 30 - August 25) with music and lyrics by Irving Berlin, book by Herbert & Dorothy Fields. Stephen Schnetzer has accomplished something very few actors can claim: he can get a favorable review from the notoriously hard to please critic John Simon. Schnetzer won a Soap Opera Digest award for Outstanding Comic Performance by an Actor (Daytime) for his work on Another World and has received numerous nominations for his acting. He has also appeared on Homeland, Forever, The Wire, The Following, The Blacklist, Damages, Law & Order, and other television shows. Theatre credits include The Goat or Who Is Sylvia?, Awake and Sing, Tribes, A Talent For Murder, Filumena, The Incomparable Max, and other plays. Schnetzer will soon appear at the Westport Country Playhouse in Arthur Miller's play, Broken Glass, and BroadwayWorld wanted to know more about him.
