San Francisco Opera Presents New Production of Beethoven's FIDELIO

Director Matthew Ozawa’s interpretation of the work updates its original eighteenth-century prison setting to a modern government detention center.
Centenary Stage Company Announces YPW Winter Festival Of Shows, Spring Registration

The Centenary Stage Company continues their tradition of nurturing young artists and proudly presents the Young Performers Workshop Winter Festival of Shows. The 2019/2020 winter productions include: Anything Goes, George M and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. The productions will run from December 14 through Dec 22. All shows will take place in the Little Theatre, located on the campus of Centenary University at 400 Jefferson Street, Hackettstown, NJ. Tickets price at $12.50 for Adults and $10.00 for Children under 12.

With a soaring pop rock score and set against the epic backdrop of a military base in Baghdad, DEPLOYED follows Emily's emotional journey. Our heroine develops an unlikely friendship with her interpreter, Laila, as she trains Iraqi women. Laila teaches Emily to appreciate others' suffering and to realize the enemy she's fighting is herself. When Emily finally lets go of her inner demons, a secret from the past comes back to wreak its revenge. They cannot forget...but can they forgive?

'The High and the Mighty' directed by William Wellman will be shown on June 29 at 8:30p.m., and is the second of East Lynne Theater Company's and The Cape May Film Society's 'Sunday Film Series' with the theme 'Pilots and Pirates.' The "Pirate" films come later, with 'The Crimson Pirate' and 'The Black Pirate' on August 3 and 10 at 8:30p.m. In the fall, on October 19 at 8:00p.m., the final day of the Cape May Film Festival, it's an evening of spooky classic silent short films.
