We often walk these streets without digging into the history of the ground we stand on, treating the past as a distant backdrop rather than a foundation.

The full cast has been announced for the new production of Seán O'Casey's timeless masterpiece, Juno and the Paycock, directed by Tony and Olivier award-winner Matthew Warchus.

BroadwayWorld chats with playwright Heidi Armbruster about 'Mrs. Christie' her madcap mystery making its West Coast premiere at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley October 4 to 29. Her play is an imaginative and speculative romp that connects the famed mystery writer's 11-day disappearance in 1926 with the story of a present-day woman struggling to find herself.

Presented by Asian CineVision, the 42nd Asian American International Film Festival (AAIFF42), and taking place July 25 – August 3 in New York City, has announced its full film lineup. The first and longest running Asian interest film festival in the country, AAIFF42 will be presenting 12 narrative features, 9 documentary features, and 67 short films, from 19 countries.

Irish Repertory Theatre (Charlotte Moore, Artistic Director and Ciar n O'Reilly, Producing Director) announced today special events and programming for the month of May as part of The Sean O'Casey Season, celebrating 30 years of Irish Repertory Theatre. May's events will include a screening of the biographical film Under the Colored Cap by Sean O'Casey's daughter, Shivaun O'Casey; an original concert of songs from O'Casey's plays; and two free scholar-led panels about O'Casey's life that will be livestreamed on Facebook.

The Abbey Theatre, National Theatre of Ireland, Tours New Production of Sean O'Casey's The Plough and the Stars to Columbus October 26-30 In 1916, Ireland raged against British rule, resulting in a six-day, armed rebellion that became known as the Easter Rising. The Plough and the Stars is the story of ordinary lives ripped apart by the idealism of the time, as the residents of a Dublin tenement seek shelter from the violence sweeping through the city's streets. Today regarded as a masterpiece, this provocative play is an indispensable window into the political culture of Ireland at one of its most pivotal moments in history.
