Second show this spring at the Shawnee Mission Park Theatre In The Park, is ANASTASIA, a 2017 fairy tale based on a wished-for result concerning the Russian Grand Duchess Anatasia. This, in turn, was based on an earlier 1997 animated film and an even earlier imagining in a 1956 film. ANASTASIA the Musical is fortunate to have found some super voices for all its lead roles.

Created by acclaimed Choreographer and Artistic Director Bengt Jörgen, Anastasia is set to an original full orchestra score by composer Ivan Barbotin, premiering Thursday, August 19 at 9:00PM On Stingray Classica.

In March and April 2019, The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Most embark on their nineteenth tour together, with eleven performances scheduled across Asia in seven cities: Taipei, Macao, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuhan, and Beijing. The tour's repertoire features four big musical works, two from the 19th century and two from the 20th, with Beethoven's "Emperor" Piano Concerto (No. 5) with soloist Daniil Trifonov and Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony, alongside Richard Strauss's epic tone poem Ein Heldenleben and Prokofiev's enigmatic Symphony No. 3. Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras (CYSO) presents the spring concert of its world-renowned Symphony Orchestra at Chicago's Orchestra Hall (220 S. Michigan Ave.) on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Made up of some of the most talented and dedicated young musicians from across the Chicago region, the 125-member ensemble is led by Music Director Allen Tinkham. The concert will feature an all-American program of disparate cross-genre voices that explore the many 'Americas' that make up our country.
