The Screenwriter's Daughter, a new American play about the life of the illustrious Hollywood icon, Ben Hecht, as seen through the tempestuous relationship between Ben and his free-spirited, young, 60s generation daughter Jenny, will get its European premiere in a five-week season in the Lounge at Leicester Square Theatre from Wednesday 28 October.

Symphony Space will usher in a new series of works for its 2015-16 season, thanks to new artistic director Andrew Byrne.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra and Music Director Andris Nelsons have entered into a new partnership to create Classical Live, a unique initiative that offers a new paradigm for the distribution of live recordings of classical music available only on Google Play Music. Classical Live will offer participating orchestras—the BSO, Cleveland Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra, and Amsterdam's Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra—an opportunity to release up to four live concert recordings each season for download exclusively on Google Play Music with the first recordings to be made available at music.google.com or classical-live.com beginning on June 15.  

Houston Ballet Artistic Director Stanton Welch was awarded the Order of Australia for his contributions to the world of dance. The award recognizes his significant service to the performing arts as a ballet dancer, mentor, choreographer and artistic director. The prestigious Order of Australia Award, established in 1975, is bestowed on Australian citizens for meritorious service in a particular area or field of activity.

The 69th Annual Tony Awards are this Sunday June 7th at 8/9c hosted by Kristin Chenoweth and Alan Cumming. She questions de Kock, who is sentenced to two life terms plus 212 years for crimes against humanity, murder, conspiracy to murder, attempted murder, assault, kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, and fraud.

Tribute shows to iconic entertainers celebrating a centennial birthday in 2015 seem to be all the rage this year. But nobody has been celebrated more in cabaret variety shows than Frank Sinatra—and rightly so. Wall Street Journal entertainment columnist Will Friedwald, also a producer and author who wrote the 1997 book Sinatra! The $710,000 grant is earmarked for preliminary audience research and the first cycle of work will explore how to eliminate barriers of engagement for millennials and implement new strategies to involve and retain their participation for years to come.

CRE Outreach presents the world premiere of NOBODY TOLD ME, a heartfelt original play written by Marine Corps veteran Melvin Ishmael Johnson, performed by Full Scope Veterans and Theatre by the Blind. Writer/performer Melvin Ishmael Johnson drew from his own as well as other veterans' real-life stories and experiences to create the piece, then joined forces with Theatre by the Blind actors to hone Full Scope Veterans stage craft skills.
