Toronto, August 11, 2015 - princess productions' biennial dance: made in canada / fait au canada (d:mic/fac) festival runs Thursday, August 13 to Sunday, August 16 at the Betty Oliphant Theatre in Toronto and features 12 different dance events (including 6 world premieres and 1 Toronto premiere) from across Canada (Alberta, Newfoundland, Ontario and Quebec). 

Charged with momentum from the launch of BCMF Spring, the festival's first spring series of two concerts, the 32nd season of Long Island's longest-running classical music festival presents 11 concerts July 29 - August 23, 2015.

The Old Globe's presentation of Kiss Me, Kate, the classic musical comedy featuring a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter, begins tonight, July 1, on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

Agatha Christie's 1922 thriller The Secret Adversary will receive its world stage premiere at The Watermill Theatre on 12 February 2015 where it will play for 44 performances, prior to a six-week national tour. Introducing crime-fighting duo Tommy and Tuppence to the stage for the very first time, The Secret Adversary will be brought to life in a new adaptation by Sarah Punshon and Johann Hari. Detroit, (October 30, 2014) – The Detroit Symphony Orchestra (DSO) will welcome Wei Yu, currently a member of the New York Philharmonic cello section, as DSO Principal Cello on Jan. 5, 2015. DSO Music Director Leonard Slatkin announced the news Wednesdayevening at a special event at New York's SubCulture celebrating his 70th birthday where Yu was in attendance. Slatkin will conduct the New York Philharmonic at Avery Fisher Hall this weekend in a program featuring Copland, Rouse and Ravel.
