Now in their 15th Season, the critically acclaimed Rising Sun Performance Company and their ensemble brings an ongoing Late Night Variety Show to UNDER St Marks starting November 4th, 2016.

Dinner at the Twits, the gloriously gruesome interactive theatrical dining experience from the award-winning team behind the Olivier Award-nominated smash hit Alice's Adventures Underground, in association with gastronomic wunderkinds Bompas & Parr, must end its run at the Vaults on Sunday 30 October.

Rising Sun Performance Company started out in a tiny coffee shop on 50th street, in 2001 with myself and two friends- David Anthony and Danielle Montezinos and a big idea.  The great big 'What If' - What if we created a place where we as performers were generating the work, selecting the work and casting ourselves? What if we created a place where we worked with people we loved, in a respectful and fun environment?  What if when a show was over we didn't have to say goodbye to all of the fabulous creative relationships we made during this show?  What if we just did this ourselves? 

Rising Sun Performance Company announced today that they will be presenting a one night immersive theatrical event & experience, 'Shhh...It's a speakeasy' today September 10th at 7:30 PM (doors at 7).

After a nationwide search, the Hangar Theatre announces the appointment of Michael Barakiva as Artistic Director. His tenure will begin immediately as he transitions from Interim to full-time Artistic Director. Michael will be the Hangar's first full-time, in residence Artistic Director.

As the characters Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne, Mark Edward Lang and Alison J. Murphy seem to be a perfect fit in the play about the famous Broadway actors. Lang and Murphy are married in real life and have been performing together for many years. Head over to the Matrix Theatre in June for a mini Australian theater festival, when L.A.'s Australian Theatre Company presents a 'Double Feature' of two celebrated Australian plays that were made into movies and ATC's second annual free reading series - all over the course of 3-1/2 weeks. Opening with Speaking in Tonguesby Andrew Bovell on June 6 and the U.S. premiere of Ruben Guthrie by Brendan Cowell on June 7, performances of the two plays continue in repertory through June 28, with a free "Works by Women" reading series taking place every Wednesday evening.
