The Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC), 2011 IT Award Nominee for last season's The Human Comedy, announces their 11th Season featuring Ashlin Halfnight's A Hard Wall at High Speed and the musical The Secret Garden. Reflecting on the past ten years and with an eagerness for the upcoming year, Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik says, 'I am thrilled that in our 11th Season APAC will be producing primarily new work, as we begin to move away from our acclaimed revival productions into an arena of premieres and workshops.'

As previously speculated by BroadwayWorld, Broadway legends Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin will bring their concert show, which toured the country in 2010-11, to the Great White Way this fall, the Washington Post now confirms. The pair will play the Barrymore Theatre beginning November 16. Opening night is scheduled for November 21.

According to a report by Lemonwade, Broadway legends Patti LuPone and Mandy Patinkin might bring their concert show, which toured the country in 2010-11, to the Great White Way this fall. The show is aiming to open in mid-October and run through the holiday season. Additional details have not yet been released.

Paper Mill Playhouse has just announced the full creative team behind its season opener, the premiere of a new Disney stage musical, Newsies. Featuring music by eight-time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Sister Act, The Little Mermaid), lyrics by Jack Feldman and a new book by four-time Tony® Award winner Harvey Fierstein (La Cage aux Folles, Torch Song Trilogy), Newsies is adapted for the stage from the 1992 live-action Disney feature film musical. The show begins performances on Thursday, September 15. The official press opening is scheduled for Sunday, September 25.

Producers Ben Sprecher and Louise Forlenza, in association with Tony Fusco and Larry Feinman, and by special arrangement with/and based on the Vereinigte Buhnen Wien GmbH production, announced that the new musical REBECCA, based on the classic novel by Daphne du Maurier novel, will open on Broadway Sunday, April 22 at a Shubert theater to be announced.
