Pentangle Arts and ArtisTree are thrilled to announce the opening of their collaborative stage production of CATS The Musical. The show runs from April 29th to May 8th, 2016, and features local and professional talent. Both organizations are thrilled to offer this rare opportunity to see CATS The Musical in the Upper Valley -- before it returns to Broadway this summer! The music is composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and the story is based on Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats, by T. S. Eliot. CATS ran on Broadway from 1982 to 2000, making it the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history.

Today in 1975, The Rocky Horror Show opened at the Belasco Theatre, where it ran for 45 performances. The Rocky Horror Show was written by Richard O'Brien, produced and directed by Jim Sharman. It tells the story of a newly engaged couple getting caught in a storm and coming to the home of a mad transvestite scientist unveiling his new creation, a muscle man named Rocky Horror. The musical was adapted into the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which today has a worldwide cult following and has the longest running release in film history.

IBEX Puppetry Presents Sing Along with The Muppet Movie!  This family-friendly raucous interaction with the timeless, classic film will take place on Sunday, April 3 at the State Theatre in Easton.

Daniel Evans today announces his final season as Sheffield Theatres' Artistic Director, including the eagerly anticipated news of the Crucible's Christmas show, Irving Berlin's whip-cracking musical Annie Get Your Gun. Steve Punt, Charlie Condou and Philip Franks are set to star as The Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show UK Tour 2015/2016. The three actors will take on the iconic role during the new national tour of the show, which opens at Brighton's Theatre Royal on 17 December 2015, and also stars Diana Vickers, Paul Cattermole, Ben Freeman and Liam Tamne.

Broadway In Chicago and producers Starvox Entertainment and June Entertainment have announced the full cast for SHERLOCK HOLMES.  JAMES MASLOW, the actor and singer perhaps best known for playing the role of James Diamond in Nickelodeon's 'Big Time Rush' and a member of the band with the same name, will star as the legendary Dr. John Watson, along with RENNE OLSTEAD, best known for her role as Lauren Miller in the TV sitcom 'Still Standing,' and as Madison Cooperstein in 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager,' as the well-to-do-American, Lady Irene St. John, opposite DAVID ARQUETTE in the title role as SHERLOCK HOLMES.  The two actors will make their stage debuts in this new and original adaptation inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tales by playwright Greg Kramer and directed by Andrew Shaver scheduled to play Chicago's Oriental Theatre (24 W Randolph) November 24 - 29, 2015.
