The line got a big laugh, but for once it was said in earnest. Seems one of the trapeze performers in this play about the circus flopped on his face, knocking his unconscious, hence Hattie's request for medical assistance. The story stuck with Mrs. Warren for the rest of her 20 years as RCP Artistic Director.

YALE SCHOOL OF DRAMA has established two new scholarships with a $100,000 gift from The Frederick Loewe Foundation: the Frederick Loewe Musical Theatre Scholarship, which will be awarded to a playwriting student who demonstrates particular interest in musical theatre composition; and the Frederick Loewe Directing Scholarship in honor of Floria V. Lasky.

It's just been announced that DMI Records (Tena Clark, Founder and CEO; Kevin Gore, President and COO) will produce the new Broadway Cast Recording of Gigi, the Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe Oscar® and Tony Award-winning musical comedy. The recording will be produced and engineered by six-time Grammy Award winner Frank Filipetti. The cast of Gigi will go into the studio tomorrow, Sunday, March 22 to record the album, which is slated for a June release.
