The Island's longest-running classical music festival this year features 12 concerts from July 30 to August 24, featuring the signature mix of renowned and up-and-coming artists and classic and new music that has made it one of the most noteworthy summer music festivals in the country.

The CSO is inviting musicians from the community to once again join professional musicians in their event, Play Along with the CSO. The event will take place on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 1:00-3:30pm at the Chattanooga Market. Musicians are invited to perform in one of three different performances, which will take place at 1:00pm, 2:00pm, and 3:00pm. Play Along registration costs $35 and includes a free t-shirt, music, and the opportunity to have coaching in advance with a CSO musician. Music to be presented includes: Grieg's Suite No. 1 from Peer Gynt, Movement 4 - "In the Hall of the Mountain King"; Elgar's Variation IX (Nimrod) from Enigma Variations; Copland's "Hoe-Down" from Rodeo; and John Williams' "Imperial March" from Star Wars. All performances are free for Chattanooga Market attendees.
