Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell has been announced as the director/choreographer of the Hollywood Bowl's production of HAIRSPRAY, the 2003 winner of eight Tony Awards including Best Musical, in addition to holding the record as the 20th longest running show in Broadway history. Lon Hoyt has been announced as the musical director of the production. Mitchell was the original choreographer of Hairspray on Broadway, and Hoyt was the original musical director of the Broadway production.

The Museum of Modern Art salutes master of Soviet cinema Dziga Vertov (b. Denis Arkadievitch Kaufman, Bialystok, Poland (Russian Empire), 1896-1954), whose still-radical experiments in image and sound have had an enduring influence on an astonishing range of contemporary filmmakers and artists.

On February 24, two-time César winner Carole Bouquet will perform Lettres à Génica, a reading of letters by the French poet and playwright Antonin Artaud to his love, Romanian actress Génica Athanasiou. And on March 3, renowned actor and former member of La Comédie Française Francis Huster will present his award-winning adaptation of Nobel Laureate Albert Camus' La Peste. Both performances are New York premieres.
