Today, Luther Burbank Center for the Arts (LBC)made its spring announcement of 18 new shows added to the 2018-2019 season, continuing to showcase chart topping musicians, compelling dance companies, groundbreaking storytellers and authors and a wide range of holiday performances, all appealing to diverse audiences. Tickets for all shows go on sale first to LBC members on Monday, April 9 at 12 p.m. and then to the general public on Friday, April 20 at 12 p.m.

Scarlett Johansson Set to Star in Taika Waititi's upcoming film JoJo Rabbit

According to Variety, Scarlett Johansson will star in Taika Waititi's upcoming film JoJo Rabbit. The movie is the story of a young boy in Hitler's army who learns that his mom is hiding a Jewish boy in the house. Taika Waititi wrote and will direct the film and will also star as the boy's imaginary friend who is Adolf Hitler.

Today, Scooter Braun, founder of SB Projects, and David Maisel, Founding Chairman of Marvel Studios, announce a new entertainment joint venture, Mythos Studios. To launch the new venture MythosStudios has acquired a 50% stake in Aspen Comics,as well as the entertainment rights for the comic book company's intellectual property, including the iconic artwork, characters, and worlds created by its late founder,Michael Turner.

The world premiere of The Lovely Bones, one of the bestselling novels of the 21st century and now adapted for the stage by Bryony Lavery and directed by Melly Still, will open at Royal & Derngate, Northampton on 1 September 2018 before transferring to partner theatres Everyman Liverpool, Northern Stage, Newcastle and Birmingham Repertory Theatre. The show will also tour to The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.
