Boston Celtics Forward Kris Humphries today spent time with 6-7 year olds from the John F. Kennedy School at a special holiday-themed reading event held in partnership with Boston-based education leader Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH). Humphries read stories with the children and discussed the significance of reading in their lives as part of a festive celebration of reading at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston.

The producers of Cinderella announced today that television and film star Fran Drescher will make her Broadway debut as Cinderella's stepmother Madame, beginning performances on February 4th for a 10-week run through April 13 at the Broadway Theatre (1681 Broadway). Ms. Drescher takes over the role created by Harriet Harris, who concludes her acclaimed year-long run in the musical to return to her home in California.

As a holiday treat, Diablo Theatre Company offers up the delightful A Grand Night for Singing, a romantic, entertaining revue of music by Rodgers and Hammerstein, the duo who created songs that are standards of musical theater and American popular culture. The show will run tonight, November 29-December 7 at Walnut Creek's Lesher Center for the Arts.

SAS productions present BLOODSHOT by Douglas Post, directed by Patrick Sandford and performed by Simon Slater. The play will be performed in the St. James Studio from Friday 03 January to Saturday 25 January 2014, with press night on Tuesday 07 January at 7pm. Lighting is by David W Kidd and the production was originally produced by The Nuffield Theatre, Southampton. Tickets go on sale on 22 November 2013 and a limited number of £10 tickets are available for the first five performances. These tickets must be booked by 08 December 2013.

I felt that Mark Twain was leading me onespecially after I ran across his quote saying it would be interesting to take these characters and visit them again when they're grown up. About The Author Richard DeLong Adams was born in Columbia, Missouri, in 1933. He graduated from Cornell University in 1953 and served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army's 505th Parachute Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division, from 1954 to 1957. In 1958 he moved to Hollywood, where he entered the film industry. He worked on numerous film and television projects, both as an original writer and as a behind-the-scenes script doctor. His teleplay Honor Thy Mother was nominated for an 'Edgar' Award in 1993. Richard's extensive travels have taken him to Russia, Central and South America and Asia. Transport Group, the Drama Desk and OBIE award-winning theatre company, has announced that Almost, Maine, written by John Cariani and directed by Jack Cummings III, and I Remember Mama, written by John Van Druten and directed by Mr. Cummings, will comprise the company's 2013-14 season.
