On Monday, April 6, Linda Lavin returned to the Broadway at Birdland stage with a new show, along with musical director/singer Billy Stritch, Steve Doyle on bass, and Steve Bakunas on drums. The show, 'Moments Like This' is a new show that gave the sold-out Birdland audience a chance to meet the Broadway and television star up-close and personal as she recalled her roots in the theater, her love of torch songs, and a life-long obsession with the big bands of the 1940's.

After a 48 year absence, Bye Bye Birdie will return to Broadway this fall presented by Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) in a production starring John Stamos (Albert Peterson), Gina Gershon (Rose Alvarez), Bill Irwin (Mr. Harry MacAfee) and Jayne Houdyshell (Mrs. Mae Peterson). Directed & choreographed by Robert Longbottom, Bye Bye Birdie has a book by Michael Stewart, lyrics by Lee Adams and music by Charles Strouse. Roundabout is proud to welcome back three artists who have previously worked at the theatrical institution: John Stamos, Gina Gershon and Bill Irwin.

Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble has announced its revival of 'MR. SHAKESPEARE & MR. PORTER,' the melding of the plays of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE with the music and lyrics of COLE PORTER. The production features two different evenings of mini-musicals: Volume 1 ('Hamlet,' 'Macbeth' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream') runs from November 13th through the 23rd; Volume 2 ('Measure for Measure,' 'Richard III' and 'A Midsummer Night's Dream') runs from December 4th-December 21st.

Les Misérables in Concert makes its Hollywood Bowl debut in a production featuring Melora Hardin as Fantine, Maddie Levy as Young Cosette, Tom Lowe as Enjolras, Michele Maika as Cosette, Michael McCormick as Thénardier, J. Mark McVey as Valjean, Lea Michele as Éponine, Brian Stokes Mitchell as Javert, Sage Ryan as Gavroche and John Lloyd Young as Marius. Rosie O'Donnell, who was to play the role of Madame Thenardier, has withdrawn from the performances in order to care for her eldest son, who broke his wrist. She will be replaced by veteran actress Ruth Williamson.
