The Alden in McLean, Virginia, announces its 2013-2014 season of international touring artists. The Laguna Playhouse Executive and Artistic Directors, Karen Wood and Ann E. Wareham present its first special bonus offering of their 2013 season, BRITISHMANIA, a Beatles Tribute concert. 'We are about to rock out our Summer with BRITISHMANIA, one of the best Beatles tribute bands around,' offers Wood. 'How amazing to hear 35 Beatles classics performed authentically in just about two hours! Our audiences and Beatles fans will be in heaven,' adds Wareham. BRITISHMANIA will begin performances on Tuesday, August 13 and run through Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road in Laguna Beach.

McCarter Theatre Center is pleased to announce its 2013-2014 roster of world-renowned artists on its 2013-14 Presenting Series. During the upcoming season, McCarter will present over 40 performances by world-class performing artists curated by Special Programming Director William W. Lockwood. Mainstage feature acts will include two performances of magician/entertainer Justin Willman's Tricked Out, Frank Ferrante's one-man show An Evening With Groucho and a special night with some of the greatest magicians of The Magic Castle. Road to Palooza: A Variety Show Spectacular will also be a Mainstage event for five performances featuring a number of the amazing acts playing the festival and rotating special guest performers. The Carrie Hamilton Theatre will host an eclectic variety of specialty acts over the three-week period. The CIRQUE-A-PALOOZA festival will launch today, July 19 and perform through August 11, 2013.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced Finn Wittrock as The Actor, Sarah Wayne Callies as The Actress, and Shuler Hensley as The Critic in the Kennedy Center production of The Guardsman in the Eisenhower Theater May 25 to June 23, 2013. Based on the 1910 comedy by Hungarian playwright Ferenc Molnar, The Guardsman features a new literal translation by Richard Nelson and is directed by Gregory Mosher. Picture this: a seventeenth century comedy of manners set in 1920's France. That's what audiences are in for Rider University's Westminster College of the Arts production of the Molière classic, The Misanthrope. Although not a hit first after its publication in 1666, The Misanthrope today is Molière's best known work. The Rider production, under direction of Rider faculty Miriam Mills, is a modernized adaptation written by author Timothy Mooney.
