This year Red Hook's antique wooden barge is celebrating its 100th birthday with old-time family entertainment. Sponsored by Investors Bank & Brooklyn Bridge Realty, this series of two one-man performances features two Sunday spectaculars by a vaudeville comedian and a Pirate.

This year the Showboat Circus is once again coming to Tribeca with old-time family entertainment aboard a century-old covered wooden barge. DeadPan Alley, starring Will Shaw, is a one-hour, one-man performance of physical comedy, verbal wit and expert skill. Audiences of all ages will be thrilled with astounding and hilarious displays of juggling and balance, fancy cowboy roping, flying boomerangs, rare and amazing spinning top manipulations, hat tricks, sight gags, audience participation and clowning steeped in the traditions of the great comedians from the silent film era to the present. DeadPan Alley also features serious (and not-so serious) musical presentations with the piano and harmonica. Will Shaw has performed on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Sesame Street and was an instructor for the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus Clown College.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, announces the lineup of productions for its 2014/15 Season. For its 22nd annual Spring Gala, the Kennedy Center will salute the more than 13 year tenure of Kennedy Center president Michael M. Kaiser with Camelot in Concert on Sunday, May 4, 2014 at 8 p.m. in the Concert Hall. The famed 1960 musical features book and lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner with music by Frederick Loewe and this semi-staged concert version will be adapted, directed and choreographed by Tony Award® nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge. The concert staging will be accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra conducted by Music Director James Moore. With this concert, Camelot makes its Kennedy Center debut. One of the co-chairs of the 2014 Spring Gala will be Laysha Ward, President, Target Community Relations.

For the first time in over fifty years, Harbinger Records will release 'Ballads for the Age of Science,' the most successful educational recordings of all time, as a six-CD box set. Featuring more than four dozen original songs written by Hy Zaret, co-author of the iconic popular song 'Unchained Melody,' and Lou Singer between 1959 and 1961, the albums introduced scientific concepts and terms using catchy, easy-to-learn lyrics and music to grade school students across America in the early 1960s.
