The sun will come out October 2nd when Sony Pictures Home Entertainment celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the beloved musical classic ANNIE with itsBlu-ray™ debut. This charming motion picture was adapted from the smash Tony Award®-winning musical comedy based on the "Little Orphan Annie" comic strip about a young, red-haired orphan, Annie, and her dreams of a better life outside the orphanage walls. Filled with musical numbers that have become Broadway classics, such as "Tomorrow," "Easy Street," "It's the Hard-Knock Life," ANNIE features an ensemble cast: five-time Academy Award® nominated Albert Finney (Best Supporting Actor, Erin Brockovich, 2000) plays billionaire Oliver "Daddy" Warbucks; Emmy® and Golden Globe® winner Carol Burnett (TV's "The Carol Burnett Show") plays Miss Hannigan, the orphanage's cruel headmistress. It also stars Aileen Quinn in her feature film debut, as well as Bernadette Peters (TV's "Smash"), Ann Reinking (All That Jazz) and Tim Curry (The Rocky Horror Picture Show).

ANNIE, the new production of the Tony Award-winning musical, went into rehearsal today in New York City with its full company. The production begins previews October 3, 2012 and opens November 8, 2012 at the Palace Theatre (Broadway at 47th Street). Meet the full cast below!

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that Michael Aronov, Danny Burstein, Bill Camp, Sean Cullen, Dagmara Dominczyk, Ned Eisenberg, Brad Fleischer, Karl Glusman, Jonathan Hadary, Daniel Jenkins, Danny Mastrogiorgio, Dion Mucciacito, Seth Numrich, Lucas Caleb Rooney, Tony Shalhoub, Yvonne Strahovski and David Wohl will be featured in the 19 member cast of its 75th Anniversary production of the Clifford Odets classic GOLDEN BOY, to be directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning performances Thursday, November 8 and opening Thursday, December 6 at the Belasco Theatre (111 West 44 Street), the same theatre where the play premiered in 1937. Additional casting for GOLDEN BOY will be announced at a later date.

According to the New York Times, John C. McGinley has joined previously announced Al Pacino, David Harbour, Richard Schiff, Bobby Cannavale and Jeremy Shamos in the Broadway revival of David Mamet'S acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning drama GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS. The 'Scrubs' actor will play 'Dave Moss.'

Trevor Nunn is to direct Rob Brydon, Nigel Harman and Ashley Jensen in Alan Ayckbourn's A CHORUS OF DISAPPROVAL, opening at the Harold Pinter Theatre in the Autumn. Jessica Ellerby, Barrie Rutter, Paul Thornley and Susan Tracy will join previously announced company members Teresa Banham, Daisy Beaumont, Georgia Brown, Rob Compton, Matthew Cottle and Steven Edis.

Roland Auctions of New York City will be selling the estate of legendary playwright, director, and screenwriter, Arthur Laurents on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Mr. Laurents, whose credits include West Side Story, Gypsy, La Cage Aux Folles, Hallelujah, Baby and The Way We Were, amongst many others, had a long and distinguished career, both on Broadway and in Hollywood.
