Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, beloved as one of the world's most popular dance companies, will return to Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts with four different programs for a 15-performance engagement at the David H. Koch Theater June 11 - 22, 2014.

Tonight, May 27 at 7:00pm, the Russian American Foundation (RAF) will present 'Philippe Quint & Friends,' a benefit concert hosted by the renowned Russian-American violinist at the New York Times Building's Times Center (242 West 41st Street). The evening will feature performances by special guests such as Joshua Bell, John Corigliano, Josh Ralph, Emily Bergl, Michael Bacon, William Wolfram, the Matt Herskowitz Trio, and Quint's own Argentine tango group, the Quint Quintet, featuring featuring JP Jofre, Octavio Brunetti, Oren Fader, and Pedro Giraudo. This concert will mark the opening of the 12th Annual Russian Heritage Month® and all proceeds from the evening will benefit the Russian American Foundation's Jewish Heritage Education Program (a 501(c)3 organization).

The Pasadena Symphony celebrates the best of the best Russian music with international piano star Shai Wosner guest conductor Jahja Ling. The 86thseason concert finale explodes with Tchaikovsky's dazzling Piano Concerto No. 1 and Shostakovich's Fifth Symphony tonight, May 10, 2014 at Ambassador Auditorium with matinee and evening performances at 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Pacific Symphony's critically-acclaimed American Composers Festival (ACF) continues for the 14th year with 'From Screen to Score: New Concert Music by Famous Film Composers'-who happen to be four of today's biggest Hollywood heavy-hitters: John Williams ('Star Wars,' 'Raiders of the Lost Ark,' 'E.T., the Extra Terrestrial'), Howard Shore ('Lord of the Rings,' 'The Hobbit,' 'Hugo'), James Horner ('Titanic,' 'Star Trek,' 'Apollo 13') and Elliot Goldenthal ('Alien 3,' 'Batman Forever' and 'Batman and Robin'). Together, these iconic composers boast 11 Oscars and countless billions of box office dollars. They also hold the ironic position of simultaneously being the most-heard orchestral composers ever (the soundtrack for 'Titanic' sold 30 million copies), yet their music is the least performed.

The schedule for this summer's Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival, which runs from July 20 to August 10, was announced today by Bill Bragin, Lincoln Center's Director of Public Programming. Nearly 100 free performances will take place across the plazas of Lincoln Center during three weeks. A special Memorial Concert for Pete and Toshi Seeger on July 20 will be followed by the official opening concert on July 23 with Larry Harlow's Hommy: A Latin Opera, the landmark work's first performance in 40 years. This summer, the Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival marks its 31st season in the beautiful seaside setting of Long Island's East End. The five-time Grammy Award-winning San Francisco Girls Chorus--Lisa Bielawa, Artistic Director and Valérie Sainte-Agathe, Music Director and Principal Conductor-continues its 35th anniversary season with a fully staged production of Benjamin Britten's 1957 opera Noye's Fludde, based on the biblical deluge story, in one performance only, tonight, March 29, 2014, at 8 pm at Temple Emanu-El in San Francisco.

On Wednesday, March 12, violinist Philippe Quint was awarded the Ambassador of Arts Award at the 16th Anniversary Gala Banquet of the Gateways Organization celebrating The Brownstone Experience. The banquet, held in the Delegates Dining Room at the United Nations, was attended by distinguished elected officials, world business leaders, dignitaries and over 400 prominent guests, also honoring fashion designer Valentin Yudashkin and Virginie and Mark Cohen, CEOs of Stonehouse Capital Management. Unfortunately, Quint was not able to be present at the Award ceremony. On the way to the United Nations, Quint's taxi was hit by another vehicle running a red light and Quint had to be hospitalized. Fortunately there were no serious injuries and he is scheduled to appear next week with the Rhode Island Philharmonic.

The Oakland East Bay Symphony and Music Director/Conductor Michael Morgan will continue their 25th anniversary season with a concert featuring the world premiere of Bay Area composer-pianist-vocalist Mary Fineman's song cycle, It's About Love, featuring guest vocalist Wesla Whitfield, and the Symphony's Young Artist Competition winner Matthew Linaman performing Bloch's Schelomo tonight, February 21, 2014.

Due to the sudden death of guest vocalist Alexei Mochalov's wife, tonight's February 7 program of Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica at the Harris Theater has been changed. Mieczyslaw Weinberg's Concertino, Op. 42 and Benjamin Britten's Young Apollo, Op. 16 replaces the previously scheduled Antiformalist Rayok by Dmitri Shostakovich and Britten's Variations on a Theme of Frank Bridge, Op. 10. With the addition of Concertino, Op. 42, audience members will have the extraordinary opportunity to hear two works featuring violinist Gidon Kremer. Kremer also leads Kremerata Baltica in Weinberg's Symphony No.10 for strings, Op.98, appearing onstage in three of the evening's four works.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic on the ASIA / WINTER 2014 tour, February 6-19, 2014. The two-week tour - the Philharmonic's seventh international concert tour under Alan Gilbert's leadership - will feature ten concerts in three countries, with performances in Seoul, South Korea; Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo, and Yokohama, Japan; and Taipei, Taiwan.

According to Deadline, the popular UK actor has signed on for 24: LIVE ANOTHER DAY, debuting with a two-hour television premiere Monday, May 5on FOX, and makes its time period premiere The Following week on Monday, May 12.

The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the lineup for the upcoming 14th edition of Film Comment magazine's essential and eclectic feast of cinephilia, Film Comment Selects, taking place from February 17-27, 2014.

On the heels of a highly successful run of George Balanchine's “The Nutcracker”, Oregon Ballet Theatre will show a multitude of facets with REVEAL at the Keller Auditorium, February 22 – March 1, 2014. Four works will appear on the bill, three of which were or will be created on the dancers of OBT. Former Artistic Director Christopher Stowell returns to choreograph his first new work on the company since departing from that post a year ago. Returning to the OBT stage are James Kudelka's “Almost Mozart”, created for the company to much acclaim in 2006 and chosen for the ballet's most recent appearance at the Kennedy Center in the Ballet Across America festival last June, and Christopher Wheeldon's “Liturgy”, a profound meditation set to the music of Arvo Pa?rt which OBT first performed in 2012. Rounding out this feast of dance is Nicolo Fonte's daring and visually striking “Bolero”. Former Principal Dancer Artur Sultanov returns to the stage for only these performances to partner Principal Dancer Alison Roper in every show of this work, originally created on the duo in 2008.
