Following the sold out concert sensations Baby and Once Upon a Mattress, Transport Group Theatre Company proudly presents The Music Man in concert on Monday, June 23 at 8pm at the The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre in The Pershing Square Signature Center, 480 West 42nd Street. San Francisco Playhouse (Artistic Director Bill English & Producing Director Susi Damilano) concludes its provocative eleventh season with Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and James Lapine (book). Bergen County Players continues its 'From Page to Stage' season with Christopher Sergel's adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning landmark American classic 'To Kill a Mockingbird' beginning Saturday, March 22nd and concluding Saturday, April 12th. This timeless tale of innocence and tolerance follows the journey of a young white girl whose father has been appointed to defend a black man framed for a crime he claims he did not commit. Performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell, the drama provides a poignant look at justice and the human spirit, as told through the eyes of a young girl learning the mysteries and realities of adulthood. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm ($20) and Sundays at 2:00 pm ($16). Bayou City Concert Musicals (BCCM) is kicking off their series of neglected 50s musicals with THE PAJAMA GAME, featuring Music and Lyrics by Richard Adler and Jerry Ross and a Book by George Abbott and Richard Bissell. The beloved romantic comedy is based on Richard Bissell's novel 7½ Cents. In the show, the factory workers at Sleep-Tite Pajamas are fighting for a 7½ cent per hour raise. In the midst of this, Babe Williams, the grievance committee head, and Sid, the handsome new factory superintendent, fall in love. THE PAJAMA GAME took New York City by storm when it premiered in 1954 and ran for 1,063 performances in its original run. It spawned a successful film adaption in 1957, had a failed Broadway revival in 1973, and found success again with a 2006 Broadway revival. Additionally, the BCCM production is the first professional production of the beloved musical in Houston in about 40 years.

Kansas City Ballet's 56th season opens with a Fall program featuring a new work by Los Angeles-based choreographer Jodie Gates, George Balanchine's Allegro Brillante, Jerome Robbins' hugely popular Fancy Free with music byLeonard Bernstein, a recent work by William Whitener, and Opus One, a world premiere by newly appointed Kansas City Ballet Artistic Director Devon Carney. Due to popular demand, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced an extension of its World Premiere production of the eagerly-awaited new musical FAR FROM HEAVEN. Originally set to have a limited subscription run through Sunday, June 30, the production will now play an additional week through Sunday, July 7.

Billed as Barbara Cook's Special 85th Birthday Concert, the Tony Award-winning soprano's one-woman concert of musical theatre songs, rare selections, and jazz standards at the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa was met with well-earned---and well-deserved---adoring cheers throughout the evening.
