The Utah Cultural Celebration Center proudly presents the latest production from Polynesian Cultural Center, Ha: Breath of Life. Three years in the making, the three million dollar production features original musical compositions and dance choreography from New Zealand, Hawaii, Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti and Tonga.

After a successful nine week run at Florida Studio Theatre, Shear Madness will close on Sunday, April 18, 2010. Shear Madness opened to audiences raving on February 18, 2010. 'That was hysterical,' 'That was tremendous fun,' and 'Dynamite' are a few of the exiting comments. The critics have agreed 'Crazy fun,' reviewed the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, 'Great fun,' remarked Sarasota Magazine and 'Howling with Laughter,' exclaimed the Pelican Press. This wild west musical from the director who brought you Goodspeed's 1776 and Camelot will run from April 16 - June 27 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn.

As the Helen Hayes Awards ceremony on April 5th honors performances and productions from the past year, DC theatergoers will be hearing two gorgeous scores by Jason Robert Brown and Jeanine Tesori, and seeing a new opera about a boxer, a splashing pool on stage, Tyne Daley as diva Maria Callas, Maurice Hines tapping his way on the Lincoln Theatre stage, Mrs. Robinson seducing Benjamin, a red balloon thrilling young audiences, Harvey Fierstein wishing he was a rich man, tales and songs from a Scottish Jewish composer, a new children's show with lots of princesses, a little musical with the title in [ ], a triumphant mounting of a short-lived Broadway musical, and a wordless Kafka classic performed in Georgian style. The crocuses, cherry blossoms, and azaleas will be in full bloom, as the nation's capital will be awash in beautiful colors. It's the perfect time to visit and see some great shows in our DC area theatres.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) and Signature Theatre Company (Founding Artistic Director James Houghton; Executive Director Erika Mallin) announced today that the New York premiere of Tony Kushner's THE INTELLIGENT HOMOSEXUAL'S GUIDE TO CAPITALISM AND SOCIALISM WITH A KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES will be presented in the 2010-2011 season in a co-production between The Public Theater and Signature Theatre Company, in association with the Guthrie Theater. Michael Greif, who directed the world premiere at the Guthrie in April, 2009, will direct the New York premiere, which will play March 22-June 12, 2011 at The Public Theater. Casting will be announced at a later date.
