Ever since Carly discovered the voice of Freddie Mercury, she has been in love with his theatrical, rocker glam persona. Freddie Mercury could sing anything...in any style, and that alone is an art to celebrate. After covering and loving his music for years, Ms. Ozard and musical director Joe Wicht are creating 'Somebody To Love: My Musical Tribute to Freddie Mercury.' Carly will be Queen for a day, paying homage to her idol, and sharing historic and interesting facts about Mercury's public and intimate lifestyle. Carly relates to Mercury's flair for theatrical and dramatic performing, incorporating his work into a night of fabulous cabaret.

It's hard to pinpoint the exact moment when Florence Henderson became a household name. Jeff Madden, currently starring as music legend Frankie Valli in the Toronto production of JERSEY BOYS, was given the chance to sit down with the real Frankie Valli this past weekend, the Toronto Star reports. Madden questioned Valli on his views of success, family, and the like in their short conversation. Valli is in town to perform a concert at Massey Hall on November 6th, as previously reported.

The sixth annual Festival will once again offer all tickets for only $10. Tickets will go on sale Sunday, September 13 at 11:00 am.

Phantom Fan Week: I'll resist the temptation to write 'Phantom Phans' but, in truth, even though I am very used to fans, I've never seen anything quite like this. The deal was that fans of Phantom: The Las Vegas Spectacular (the very aptly named version of the show at The Venetian) could come to Las Vegas and get total immersion in their favorite entertainment. There were behind-the-scenes tours, meet-and-greets with key people in the production, a masquerade ball, dinner with the producers and a farewell brunch. It was three days that fans of anything or anyone - show, actor, singer, sports team - would love. I was fortunate to attend five of the events and, herewith, my report.
