Australian theatre producer John Frost today announced the leading performers and the rest of the cast of the iconic hit musical Saturday Night Fever, which will premiere in Sydney at the Sydney Lyric Theatre from 27 March 2019.

Someone must have recommended him. But he's just a bank teller at National Savings and Trust. Why him? No one will tell him anything. So he waits anxiously in an empty room off … the West Wing? There's a woman named Alice. And someone called “The Rabbit.” There's a “Mad Hatter” and a “Red Queen,” too. Is something ghastly going on in the White House? Joseph just wants to do his civic duty. But what exactly is that when you're down the rabbit hole, and through the looking glass? Directed by Jan Zvaifler Wonderland features a cast that includes Martha Brigham*, John Patrick Moore*, Kimberly Ridgeway and Clive Worsley (*member AEA). The production has costume design by Tammy Berlin, lighting design by Gary Graves, prop design by Debbie Shelley and sound design Gregory Scharpen, with stage management by Carolina Stevens.

Joe's Pub, a program and venue of The Public Theater, announces the new class of Joe's Pub Working Group (JPWG), the venue's artist development program dedicated to enhancing the career sustainability and growth of performing artists. Entering its fifth year, JPWG welcomes five artists performer and songwriter Migguel Anggelo, composter and vocalist Trevor Bachman, comedian and performance artist Becca Blackwell, jazz musician and composer Yacine Boulares, and singer-songwriter Treya Lam as the core group that represents the diversity and scope of the nightly programming at Joe's Pub.

Star of RuPaul's Drag Race, American Idol and YouTube sensation Todrick Hall will star as Billy Flynn in CHICAGO from 19 November 2018 until the end of the show's run at the Phoenix Theatre on 5 January 2019.

Circle X Theatre Co. presents the world premiere of a site-specific theatrical event, HOLE IN THE SKY, written by Octavio Solis and directed by Kate Jopson (Fefu and Her Friends). The Juilliard School today announced that alumnus Wynton Marsalis, trumpeter, director of Juilliard Jazz Studies, and artistic director of Jazz at Lincoln Center, will address the graduates at the school's 113th commencement ceremony, which takes place Friday, May 18, 2018, at 11am in Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center. Mr. Marsalis received an honorary doctor of music degree from Juilliard in 2006. This will be the final commencement for Juilliard President Joseph W. Polisi, who has had a long association with Mr. Marsalis and asked that he be the commencement speaker. In July, Damian Woetzel will begin as the school's seventh president.

Last night (30 November 2017), the West End Company of Annie officially welcomed Meera Syal who now plays the role of Miss Hannigan in the hit musical at the Piccadilly Theatre. Syal celebrated with friends and family, including Lolita Chakrabarti, Sean Foley, Nitin Ganatra, Twiggy and Leigh Lawson and Nicola Walker, as well as fellow cast members. Syal will play the role of Miss Hannigan for the duration of the run which concludes, as previously announced, on 18 February 2018 at the Piccadilly Theatre.

With German director, screenwriter, film composer, and producer Tom Tykwer serving as Jury President, the International Jury will decide who will receive the Golden Bear and Silver Bears of the 2018 Berlinale Competition.

Today, Michael Harrison and David Ian, producers of the West End production of Annie, have officially announced that from 27 November 2017, Meera Syal will join the Company to play the role of Miss Hannigan for the duration of the run which concludes, as previously announced, on 18 February 2018 at the Piccadilly Theatre.

According to Daily Mail reporter Baz Bamigboye, actress and singer Meera Syal will be taking over the role of Miss Hannigan in the West End production of Annie. Syal is well known for her roles in Doctor Strange and Doctor Who. She was last seen in the West End in Romeo and Juliet (2016). Syal joins the cast from November 27 through February 18.
